Biography: O-O O (OOO) I am applying for a position as semiconductor engineer, a job for which I have accumulated O years’ directly relevant, full-time work experience, in addition to a master’s degree focused on organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and a baccalaureate in materials science and engineering. Besides working to acquire academic knowledge, I joined the department’s basketball team, which won several competitions. During a stint as chief of public relations at the students’ association, I developed my verbal expression and persuasion abilities. I also participated in the OO volunteer club, where I realized the significance of teamwork and collaboration. While working on my master’s degree in the Department of O O O O at OOOO, I focused on research into OLEDs. My instructor was Professor O-O O, an exacting teacher who highly emphasizes logical thinking, communication skills, and especially attitude. Under the professor’s guidance and as a result of hard work, I published a high-impact factor paper in the academic journal O O within O year. Within O years, I had published a total of O papers, all in prestigious journals. After receiving my master’s diploma, I started working in O O O Inc.’s O O Department, where I was responsible for research and development substitute services. My major duties included research into and development of O O O (OOOOs). Due to limited project resources, I had to become involved in all aspects related to the project. I consequently became quite knowledgeable not only on a variety of photographic, thin-film, and etching-related equipment and processes, but also gained experience working in pixel design and machine modification, as well as utilizing an array of analytic tools for troubleshooting. Within O year and a half, I had successfully fabricated a O-O O.OO”sample on the GO.O mass production line, in addition to completing research results that met the criteria for a pilot production run. In the middle of O year, I was assigned to a new OOOO project, in which materials are provided by a company based in the O O (OO). I was the only one among the engineers working on the project to be assigned to visit the vendor’s laboratories in the OO. It was a unique experience and a great challenge, as I had to discuss technology as well as contractual aspects in English, which I do not speak as a native language. In this project, I was not only expected to initiate experiments, but was also required to play the role of project leader. I was in charge of keeping the project’s progress on schedule and hosted teleconferences every O weeks with the vendor’s chief technology officer to iron out technical matters. In my leisure time, I spend as much time as I can studying O Magazine to keep improving my English ability. I recently sat for the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) examination, and I scored OOO points and received a O certificate. Being a person with a strong thirst for new and high-end knowledge, I hope to be part of an industry that leads the way with cutting-edge technologies, while continuing to learn and grow. When referring to a bachelor’s degree, the correct noun is “baccalaureate,” not “bachelorate.”
“Studies at National O O University,” not “studies in National O O University.”
“My personalities that schoolmates, colleges, and director mostly mention are...” should be “My personality traits that my schoolmates, colleagues and bosses mention most often are...”
It should be “listening to music,” not “listening music.”
“I attended National O O University,” or “I went to National O O University,” not “I attended to National O O University.”
“Realizing how significance of team work and collaboration is” should be “I realized the significance of team work and collaboration.”
Rather than describing your professor as a “severe teacher,” which has a somewhat negative connotation, suggesting someone who is harsh, formal and unfriendly, it might be better to describe him as an “exacting teacher,” meaning “making great demands on one’s skill, attention, or other resources.”
“I totally had O papers” sounds a bit weird, like Californian slang. I think you meant “I published a total of O papers.”
The following sentence is unclear: “within O year, I published a high impact factor paper in O O. In O years, I totally had O papers, all published in prestigious journals.” Does that mean you published one paper, then O more, or did you publish O papers in total? If the former is the case, you could say, “I published O more papers in prestigious journals.”
