生物學研究員
1~5年經驗/碩士/微生物學類
I am a graduate student studying in at National O O University, majoring in Laboratory Biotechnology and am scheduled to graduate in O OOOO. As an undergraduate student, I studied under Professor O-O O, focusing on: 1. Cell apoptosis pathway. 2. Cell culture. After graduating, I went on to study agriculture-related planting and management with senior researchers and conducted many tests in organic farming. I used microorganisms for pest and disease control in crops, assisted in the investigation of species differentiation, learnt how to do field trials and to analyse the results of the investigation. The experience I gained in the cultivation and management of different crops, as well as managing general farm machinery, taught me to manage my time effectively in order to complete different types of tasks. I therefore understand that different life experiences and processes are opportunities for growth and learning, and that having the courage to face them and learn about them helps a person to grow substantially in life. As a postgraduate student, I have studied under Professor O-O O, focusing on: 1. Discussion of plant virus identification. 2. Cell and molecular biology experiments, such as PCR, etc. In the O teachers’ laboratories, I have learned how to search for references, discuss the direction of experiments with the teachers, plan experiments, ask questions and discuss experiments with seniors, record the results of experiments, understand and reflect on the results, modify the steps and compare the experimental results, calculate statistics and organize the experimental data. Throughout the process I gained a great deal of knowledge and experience. With a Master of Science degree and extensive laboratory experience that included included Identification and Detection of Plant Virus Identification, Molecular Biology and Biopesticide research, I consider myself a strong candidate for a position in biotechnology R&D, as a quality assurance engineer or as laboratory technician. In graduate school, I learned to conduct and present scientific research to solve problems. During my academic years, I gained experience in searching for research literature, conducting experiments, analysis and data summarizing. My research project mainly focuses on microbiology and molecular biology, for which I have teamed up with my coworkers from my time working as a research assistant. In addition to gaining a solid theoretical background, I also mastered a wide range of practical experimentation skills, including microorganism culturing, fermentation, genetic engineering, and protein testing and analysis. My studies provided me with logical thinking and problem-solving skills, and taught me the importance of patience coupled with an unwavering attention to detail in biological research. In addition, I obtained Laboratory Safety Training certification with National O O University. During the process, I learned how important it is to follow guidelines and to maintain safety as well as research quality. In addition, focusing on interpersonal relationship management in the workplace and learning team communication made me aware of the need to evaluate my own work at any time, to continue learning to complement the relevant knowledge, as well as the importance of time allocation. I believe that my education, skills and work experience make me an ideal candidate for the prospective role and I look forward to discussing the vacancy in more detail. I would appreciate an opportunity to discuss my qualifications at your earliest convenience. I have confidence in improving my abilities, maintaining focus and efficiency at work, upholding a responsible attitude, as well as pursuing excellence to help benefit your company. I am available to start work immediately. Thank you for your time and consideration.
An excellent, detailed cover letter, well done!
“I am a graduate studying in at National O O University” — you should say graduate student.
Be careful not to confuse “college” with “university.”
Take care to avoid repetition: If you have already written “Thank you for your time and consideration” then there is no need to write “I thank you for your interest” in the following paragraph.
Since it is a long cover letter, make sure you space out paragraphs so that the text appears less dense to the reader.
If possible, try to tailor the cover letter to the company you are applying for by, for example, stating what attracted you to apply for a position at their company.
