■AUTOBIOGRAPHY
by O O

My name is O-O O, and my English name is O. I was born in O on August O, O. I live in O with my family. There are five people in my family: me, my husband, who works in O, my mother, one younger sister and one younger brother. My father, who has passed away, was a professor; and my mother is also a retired professor. My younger sister works in the O. and my younger brother works in O.
I graduated from the Department of Shipping Management at the O O College of O Technology (O College of O Technology, O). Shipping Management was one of my main courses, touching on transportation, services and commerce including sea, land and sky. My other courses were of a commercial nature, of which my favourites included international trade, economics, statistics, accounting and computers. As a student I was always among the top three in my class. In my spare time I joined a dancing club in my senior high school, and won prizes in many contests and performances. One of the highlights was when I performed at the Presidential Office plaza on O O National Day.
I started my first part-time job in a restaurant while I was a student, which is where I learned the importance of serving customers with a smile and personal warmth. My second part-time job was a telephonic survey position in which I was required to talk to lots of students and ask them questions regarding examinations.
Following that, I developed my skill-set by working full-time for different companies and enterprises. As I shared my experience with co-workers, we taught each other a great deal that enabled us to enhance one another’s job skills. I also made many friends in different work environments in different places, and learned a great variety of skills from them. What’s more, I also had a good time.
Despite the political differences, China and Taiwan share many common economic interests, as evidenced by their increasingly strong economic ties in the Asia-Pacific region. I am interested in a profession that would contribute to further strengthening these ties.
I enjoy a wide range of activities very much, including playing badminton, swimming, playing ping-pong, dancing, bowling, exercising, traveling, reading books, listening to music, singing at a KTV, working on the computer, and many more. I also like to go to the movies with my friends.
I consider myself to be a person with a loving heart, because I like children and animals very much. I have an outgoing, patient and cheerful personality. I can get along well with all kinds of people, and I am pleased and proud that I have many close friends who can confide everything to me. I also have a strong sense of responsibility and I am very efficient in whatever job I set my mind to.
Being a purchaser is a job that’s very similar to that of a salesperson, but while salespeople mainly deal with external customers, a purchaser’s focus is on internal work involving company members. In both cases, it is necessary to service customers, be efficient and respond quickly. I have successfully dealt with tasks such as cost reduction plans of 5 to 10 percent per quarter or even monthly, obtaining 20 to 100 pieces of free samples to support new projects, and dealing with vendor rebate plans. To be a professional purchaser, it is necessary to be on top of tasks such as keeping a close watch on market trends, compiling analyses on topics such as fluctuating prices of raw materials, resolving shortages, reselling and stock management — all of which I excel in.
What sets me apart from other possible job applicants who might have graduated from fine universities or who have other excellent attributes is that I am very confident that I have the competitive advantage over any other candidate. I will gladly and enthusiastically demonstrate my capabilities, loyalty as well as diligence if such an opportunity were given to me. As the enclosed resume indicates, I have over 10 years’ experience in purchasing management, and I believe I have the required specialized abilities to do an excellent job in this position.
Should you be interested in my application, I am available for an interview at your convenience. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

修改建議:
A well-written resume. I just had to clean up the resume slightly and fix some small spelling mistakes and a little bit of grammar.

The biography needed more work, but was structured well and to the point, so I was able to improve it significantly.
